Industrial Ventilation

Industrial Ventilation

Ventilation or air movement helps dissipate heat for the following reasons:

a) It helps to avoid radiation from the surrounding area, while increasing radiation from the body.

b) It contributes greatly to heat loss by convection.

c) It is fundamental in losses by evaporation.

This makes high industrial temperatures more tolerable, not to mention the influence on the body of the cleanliness and oxygenation of the ambient air.

For six or seven decades ventilation has been thought of as something advantageous and necessary for the normal functioning of an industry.

The calculator and the architect soon realized that static or natural ventilation could solve their problem at a lower cost, avoiding conservation and maintenance a posteriori.

To achieve proper ventilation, the balance of flow rates and pressures between air inlets and outlets in the building must be carefully studied. The best use of the energy released by the production process itself is achieved through low air inlets and outlets in the upper part. The lack or poor distribution of one or the other can cancel out the ventilation.
